Commitment to Quality

Puget Sound Pipe & Supply Company maintains a Quality Process System Program that is ISO 9001:15 compliant and ASME NQA-1 2008/09ed compliant. Our QPS covers all phases of material processing, from technical review of inquiries and quotations, through final inspections, testing and shipment. Our Quality Process Systems and Procedures have been audited and approved by major corporations such as Bechtel National Inc, Conoco Alaska Inc, and Alyeska Pipeline Services.
Puget Sound Pipe & Supply is committed to continuous quality improvement. Through employee contribution and customer input we ensure that our distribution systems and procedures are maintained to the highest standards. In addition, PSP conducts extensive external audits of our approved manufacturers Quality Systems and Procedures to further enhance our capacity to meet your requirements.
Uncontrolled copies of our Puget Sound Pipe and Supply Qualiaty Systems and Procedures Manuals are available for review upon request.
At Puget Sound Pipe and Supply, all our inventory is thoroughly inspected and tested to meet the quality requirements that ensure the safety and longevity of your project.


Internal Testing
Puget Sound Pipe & Supply's quality department conducts regular internal non-destructive testing during receiving and final preparation for shipment, both to our own internal requirements and to customer provided specifications. This testing includes dimensional analysis, Ultra-Sound Thickness Testing, and Positive Material Identification with an XRF examination.
All testing is conducted with calibrated equipment by personnel who are highly trained, including SNT-TC-1A qualifications where applicable.
External Testing
Puget Sound Pipe & Supply has approved third party laboratories and testing companies that we use to conduct the following supplemental tests when needed:
- Magnetic Particle Inspection
- Liquid Penetrant Inspection
- Radiographic Inspection (RT)
- Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
- Tensile Test
- Charpy V Notch Testing
- OES Chemical Examination (when carbon content is required)
- Drop Weight Test
- Flattening Test
